2. Our Approach: Make CCNA Learning Fun, Clear & Gamified

At PingMyNetwork, we looked at these problems and created a system that helps the brain learn and remember information over time.

We looked at how Duolingo and other platforms teach their users. There are several studies on the Internet about this.

We mainly focus on something called Learning Experience Design, or LX design. LX Design says that we learn from our experiences, good or bad. Some of the things that can have a big impact on us are trauma, travel, activities, and video games.

So we transformed CCNA learning into an experience. Just like Duolingo for language learning. Here are our four main pillars.

Pillar1: A progression system that guides learners

Learning is a breeze when you know exactly what's coming next! Our innovative progression system breaks the CCNA journey into clear, logical steps so learners never feel lost.

Each step builds on the previous one, which is really great because it reduces cognitive overload and makes the whole path feel more manageable.

You will also see progress in each lesson. You will feel yourself progressing as you gain new skills.

Finally, every time I reconnect, I can instantly see where I left off last time. I show the location in the dashboard with the red square.

Pillar2: Short, focused lessons that go straight to the point

Short lessons allow learners to take a break after each concept, which makes learning fun and easy! The key to an effective lesson is striking the perfect balance — not too short, not too long. On average, we've found that between 15 and 20 minutes is the sweet spot.

We're thrilled to have users who join us for 20 minutes a day, and we're excited to see what the future holds! They're all about consistency, not rushing to finish. This format is perfect for making them feel comfortable.

And it helps students take a break between each lesson, which is a great way to recharge and be ready for more!

Pillar3: Gamification system

Gamification is one of the main pillars of PingMyNetwork, and it's an incredible tool that we're thrilled to offer.

It's a unique and exciting format, and while it might not be a household word, its appeal is clear to many of our users. I'm thrilled to share it with you here.

Gamification is the incredible process of adding video game mechanics that allow users to stay longer and be more engaged.

This is incredible for a learning platform because it allows users to learn for longer periods of time. But there's another, even more important goal that people often forget, and that's really exciting because it opens up so many possibilities! Gamification provides the most incredible experience you'll ever have! It's an immersive experience that you'll never forget.

And remember, everything we learn comes from experience. Learning through gamification is an incredible way to boost your brain's ability to retain information.

We are thrilled to share the gamification methods we have added and their exciting objectives:

1) Streaks

Streaks are the most well-known and powerful gamification element, and that's because they are so effective! The more engaged a user is, the more engaged they become. It's an incredible habit-forming mechanism.

It has been proven that after 7 to 10 streaks, a user is very likely to return, because otherwise they will lose their streak.

On PingMyNetwork, the streak is unlocked after completing a course, which is incredibly exciting!

2) XP and levels

Gaining experience and leveling up improves the user experience.

When the experience bar is almost full, we absolutely want to unlock the next level. I won't cite the studies and known effects in psychology here. Feel free to reach out to me if you're interested.

3) Badges

Badges allow users to be rewarded at each important stage of learning. Rewards in learning are essential.

Pillar4: Community Driven

Social interaction is an important part of learning. It enhances the experience.

We have a Discord server that allows users to share their accomplishments, ask questions, and work together on labs, for example.

Being close to the community is what I think users appreciate most. We are there, sharing news and difficulties with complete transparency.
